Matthew Cipolla, LMFT

Hello, my name is Matthew Cipolla. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from National University in Carlsbad. My undergraduate degree is in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Childhood Development. During my graduate program, I was fortunate enough to work at Tri-City Medical Center in the Behavioral Health Unit and in the Emergency Room.

I worked with a variety of clients at Tri-City, including those who suffered from Schizophrenia, Bi-polar disorder, Depression, and Anxiety.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a Firefighter EMT. I served in the San Diego area as a Firefighter for 10 years. That experience taught me to treat people with respect, and to act with integrity. I believe that doing the right thing when nobody is looking is essential to any field of work.

Being of service is important to me, and another way I do this is by helping at my church. I was a young adult coordinator at my church for two years. As a coordinator, I facilitated discussion groups and assisted in organizing events. I also lead small groups during church conferences for the youth and adults alike.

I have been married for 5 years to a woman I love dearly and I have a dog named Indiana.
