Pamela Parkinson, AMFT

At some point in our lives we all are in need of guidance. Throughout my life I have always found great joy in helping others. Having spent over a decade in the healthcare industry, I learned that the healing process has many different facets. Complete healing involves the mind, body, and spirit. While I obtained valuable knowledge and experience in the healthcare field, I saw an opportunity to pursue my true passion and walk alongside individuals to collaboratively work through the healing process. That is when I chose to answer my calling and receive a master’s in counseling psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy.

I have found through my own individual experiences that I enjoy connecting with many different individuals who may be struggling to find meaning and joy. I have worked with individuals that have struggled with anxiety, depression, addiction, substance abuse, anger management, parenting and trauma. It is my goal and a privilege to meet my clients where they are and build a collaborative relationship based on trust and understanding in a caring and safe environment. I am a committed therapist who enjoys working with my clients to achieve their goals and ambitions. I work to come alongside my clients during the therapeutic journey and when they are faced with challenges, we will walk through them together. It is my desire that my clients are given the tools needed to succeed in their lives and are encouraged to be the best version of themselves.
