Hi, my name is Amanda Rodriguez, and I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). I graduated in 2011 with my B.S. in Psychology and returned to school in 2022 to pursue my M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University.
During my training, I had the privilege of working at Michelle’s Place in Temecula, a nonprofit that serves individuals and families navigating cancer. There, I worked closely with both children and adults processing grief. I also created a program called Wellness Warriors, which integrated somatic practices to bridge the gap between mental health and body awareness through movement.
Most recently, I worked at a substance abuse treatment center where I gained valuable experience in supporting individuals through recovery and developing a deeper understanding of the complexities of addiction. Throughout my professional and personal journey, I have cultivated a unique mind-body-soul approach to therapy, grounded in the belief that “the body keeps score” and that movement and mental health are deeply interconnected.
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal. I aim to help individuals connect more deeply with themselves, integrate mind and body, and move toward lasting growth and balance.
As a therapist, I take a person-centered approach, drawing from psychodynamic orientations while emphasizing the importance of meeting each client where they are. Outside of work, you can usually find me in a yoga, spin, or movement-based class. My greatest joy comes from being a mother to my two children, who inspire me daily and keep me grounded in the importance of family.
I look forward to connecting with you and walking alongside you on your journey.
