Clinical Supervisor: Janelle Novell, LMFT32101

Hello, my name is Michelle Curry, and I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide therapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and I support clients navigating recovery, trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Rutgers University. My clinical experience includes providing individual and group therapy in a substance use treatment setting, where I worked closely with individuals experiencing addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns. These experiences strengthened my passion for helping clients develop insight, emotional resilience, and lasting change. My background in sociology, along with my experience teaching abroad in South Korea, China, and Russia, as well as studying abroad in South Africa, has given me a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and the many ways identity and life experiences shape each person’s journey. I strive to provide culturally responsive care where clients feel seen, understood, and respected.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in attachment and Bowenian family systems therapy. I help clients explore patterns shaped by life experiences and relationships, while developing practical tools to foster healing, growth, and healthier connections. I integrate cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic perspectives, and I approach therapy with deep respect for each person’s story, values, and capacity for transformation. My faith has also shaped my belief in the importance of compassion, grace, and hope within the healing process, and I honor the role that spirituality or personal beliefs may hold for each client.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy reading, walking, music, and connecting with family and friends. These practices help me stay grounded and present so that I can show up fully for the clients I serve.

I believe therapy is a collaborative and meaningful process, and I would be honored to support you as you move toward healing, clarity, and greater connection in your life.
